EEE – Electrical Electronic Equipment – Electrical equipment in use

PCS – Producer Compliance Scheme – Organisation meeting producers’ responsibilities

Producer – An organisation manufacturing, distributing, re-branding or importing EEE

Household EEE/WEEE –EEE/WEEE sold to and found in private households or in commercial/industrial environments that because of its design and specification could also be found in a private household

B2C – Business 2 Consumer – As described in Household EEE/WEEE

Non Household EEE/WEEE – EEE/WEEE in commercial/industrial environments that because of its design and specification is not likely to be found in a private household

B2B – Business 2 Business – As described in Non-Household EEE/WEEE

Dual Use EEE/WEEE – Because of the design and nature of the item it could be used in both household and non-household environments

DCF – Designated Collection Facility – A collection point for the removal of WEEE

AATF – Approved Authorised Treatment Facility – A recycling plant/process accredited by the Environment Agency that is authorised to upload Evidence notes

ERMS – Electronic Recycling Management System – Web based tracker system for EEE from purchase to destruction

WEEE Streaming – The segregation of WEEE items prior to collection

WEEE One Stop Shop – A service that deals with all categories of WEEE in a single contract
