‘PLACED ON THE MARKET’ and ‘DUAL USE’ IMPACT
I hope we find you and your business well and we are looking forward to another year as your chosen PCS and WEEE service provider for the 2015 compliance period.
Whilst the context of this communication and its supporting documents are complex, we have attempted to make it easy to understand. Albeit, in the poorly chosen words of the lead officer at BiS, the Government department responsible for policy, there will be winners and losers in the changing WEEE Regulations.
In this communication we are covering two of those changes to the WEEE regulations. The purpose of communicating is to assist in the compliant implementation of the changes required by UK Law by;
a) reviewing reporting of EEE “Placed on the Market” and,
b) explaining the recognition by the UK Government, of the Dual Use WEEE clause incorporated into the UK WEEE Regulations 2013 and its phased implementation over 2015 and 2016.
Neither of these changes will affect your fixed charges in 2014. Julia Orley and Radford Bennett will endeavour to answer any questions arising from the changes you will need to implement. The deadlines we have set are to ensure a smooth transition.
